Camera Test and Table Read in a Seongsu Rehearsal Studio

Guests arrive at a rehearsal studio in a converted Seongsu factory building, where sides for two short scenes are handed out and read cold around the table. The session works through the text first, covering intention, silence and what changes when a line is spoken in a second language, before the room is turned over to a camera, a monitor and a simple lighting setup. Each guest plays a scene twice on camera, once as read at the table and once after notes, with the group watching playback together between takes. The afternoon closes with a conversation on working across Korean, English and Japanese productions, on long shoots, and on what a director asks for that the script does not say.
