Trust & Safety Policy

How we protect members, providers and money.

Verification

Providers apply, pay an onboarding fee, and are reviewed by our team before they appear publicly. Identity verification requires a government-issued document and, where needed, a selfie check. Verified accounts carry a badge next to their name. A badge means we checked identity — it is not a guarantee of outcome.

Trust scores

Each provider carries a trust score from 0 to 100, set by our team from verification status, completed bookings, response time, cancellation history, review quality and report history. It is visible on every profile.

Money protection

  • Every payment is made on Congif and reviewed by a person before it is confirmed.
  • Funds are held by the platform and released to providers as they complete work.
  • Withdrawals are reviewed manually before they are sent.
  • Refunds follow a published policy, not a private negotiation.

Conversation monitoring

Our systems automatically flag language associated with off-platform payment, advance-fee fraud and impersonation. Flagged conversations may be reviewed by trained staff. Every staff review is recorded in an internal audit log. We do not read conversations for advertising.

Meeting in person

  • Meet first in a public place wherever possible.
  • Tell someone you trust where you are going and when you expect to be back.
  • Keep the arrangements in the Congif conversation so there is a record.
  • Do not carry more cash than you need — you should never need to pay on the day.
  • Trust your instincts. If something feels wrong, leave and report it.

Fraud we see, and how to avoid it

  • “Pay me directly and I’ll give you a discount.” Always a scam. Report it.
  • “Send a deposit to this wallet to hold the date.” Deposits are only ever taken at Congif checkout.
  • An account claiming to be support asking for your password. We never ask for your password.
  • A profile with borrowed photos and no verification. Look for the badge and the trust score.

Reporting and response

Reports are triaged continuously. Safety reports are prioritised, and urgent cases are escalated within the hour. Where there is an immediate risk to someone, contact your local emergency services first, then tell us.
