Egyptian print journalism came first, and the studio came later. Al Qahera Al Youm ran for well over a decade before Al Hekaya, which I have presented nightly on MBC Masr since 2018. I have interviewed presidents, footballers and people whose names nobody knew until that evening. My work is asking the question the audience at home is already shouting at the screen, and I take that responsibility seriously.
