About Amyr Klink
Boats are designed long before they are sailed, and I design mine. Paratii was built to be frozen deliberately into Antarctic ice and to survive a winter there. My first crossing was a rowing boat, a hundred days from Namibia to Bahia, and every voyage since has been an exercise in engineering, provisioning and solitude. I write about those journeys, and I speak about projects that take a decade before they float.
