About Arthur Balder
A studio in the Meatpacking District, edit suites, gallery walls, and locations on both sides of the Atlantic: my work moves between painting, writing and directing, and the days rarely look alike. Most begin with canvas and end with pages or a cut. I like talking about how a picture or a script is actually built, false starts included, and about the corners of downtown New York that still reward a slow walk.
