A booking with me usually starts with the practical questions - how a climbing plan is built, how training loads are set, how the kit is fitted - and ends up somewhere much wider. I was the first woman with an amputation to reach the summit of Everest, and the years of preparation behind that morning matter far more than the photograph at the top. I speak plainly about setbacks, patience, and the long build toward one climb.
