About Black Coffee
I build a set the way I build a record — from the drums up, letting a groove sit long enough for the room to find its own way into it. Most of the work is listening: to the space, to the hour, to what the floor is actually asking for. When I take a booking I would rather go deep on the music and the process behind it than perform a version of myself.
