About Børge Ousland
Polar travel is a craft of small margins: sledge weight, ski wax, and how fast you can raise a tent when your hands have stopped working. I crossed Antarctica alone and unsupported in 1996, reached the North Pole solo, and have spent three decades since guiding people onto the ice. I take small groups only, in Svalbard and the high Arctic, and I teach the dull skills that keep everyone alive.
