About Cassio Vasconcellos
My first pictures were of Sao Paulo at night, on foot, in black and white. Curiosity about scale eventually put me in small planes: I photograph from the air, then spend months assembling thousands of separate frames into single images, parked cars, aircraft graveyards, container ports. Coletivos came from that patience. I enjoy showing people how a montage is built, frame by frame, and why the seams matter as much as the view.
