About David Geffen
I began in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency and worked my way onto the desk, managing artists before I ever ran anything. Asylum came out of wanting a label that served the writer rather than the format, and Geffen Records followed from the same idea. Later I moved into film and stage. What I know best is how talent gets found, protected and given room to grow.
