Denis Urubko
Kazakhstani high-altitude mountaineer and guide, known for new routes, winter attempts on 8,000-metre peaks and rescue at extreme altitude.
About Denis Urubko
I learned the mountains in the Tien Shan, on long routes with heavy packs and very little margin for error. What changed me was moving from strength to judgement, understanding that above eight thousand metres the decision matters more than the effort. I climb, guide and write now, and I am most useful to people who want to know how a high expedition is really planned, run and survived.
