About Devery Jacobs
Writing and acting feed each other in my work — I read a script the way a director would, hunting for what the scene is really about, and then throw most of that away and just play. 'Reservation Dogs' put me on a set run almost entirely by Indigenous crew, which permanently changed what I expect from a production. I'm glad to read pages, talk self-taping, or discuss building a career outward from Kahnawake.
