About Dina El Wedidi
What I offer is closer to a rehearsal than an interview. I started singing in Egyptian street theatre, spent years collecting folk songs along the Nile, and Slumber came out of pushing all of that through synthesisers. I enjoy talking about the voice as an instrument, about the Nile Project's collaborations across seven countries, and about how a traditional song survives being taken apart.
