About Do Ho Suh
Measurement is the whole discipline in my studio — every switch plate, hinge and radiator recorded to the millimetre, then rebuilt in polyester mesh so a room can be folded into a suitcase. Moving between Seoul, New York and London made that method necessary rather than clever. Fabric holds memory in a way concrete cannot. Studio conversations usually start with drawings and end up somewhere about belonging.
