About Edurne Pasaban
Fourteen 8,000-metre summits took me eight years, two lost toes and a long stretch of therapy that I talk about openly. I climb in small teams, plan conservatively and treat acclimatisation as the real work rather than an inconvenience. These days I lead mountain leadership programmes for organisations and speak about failure, depression, and the strange emptiness that follows a goal you have chased since you were twenty.
