About Hiam Abbass
I started in theatre, learning the craft on a stage long before a camera was ever pointed at me, and moving to Europe changed the shape of my working life. Since then I have worked in Arabic, Hebrew, French and English, in films and series made on both sides of the Mediterranean. What holds my attention is character: the pause before a line, the thing a person will not say. I am glad to talk about that work.
