My method begins with the question of who actually creates value and who merely extracts it. At UCL's Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose I work with governments and public institutions on mission-oriented policy, treating moonshots as organising devices rather than slogans. Conversations with me tend to be blunt about risk, reward and the terms of public investment. I bring the evidence, and I expect to be pushed hard on it.
