Marlon Williams
Lyttelton singer and guitarist behind Make Way for Love, writing in English and te reo Māori across country and folk
About Marlon Williams
Lyttelton is a small harbour town, and most of what I sing came out of choirs and pubs there. Make Way for Love was written after a break-up and somehow carried me to stages across Europe and North America. Along the way I acted in A Star Is Born and True History of the Kelly Gang, and made an album entirely in te reo Māori. Singing in my own language changed how I hear everything else.
