About Peter Hook
I've always played bass high on the neck, treating it as the melody rather than the floor underneath one. That came from necessity as much as taste, and it stuck. Tone is half the job - the right strings, the right amount of grit, and playing hard enough that the notes have an edge to them. Live is where it matters most to me. Glad to talk technique, tone, rehearsal habits and what a stage teaches you that nothing else does.
