The best bookings I have had were long, meandering and slightly off-topic, which suits me fine. I grew up between Bangkok and Hamilton, wrote Lover Boy without imagining anyone outside Thailand would hear it, and have been touring Asia and Europe ever since. Guitar tone, home demos, film photography, and the strange feeling of a song outgrowing you — those are my favourite subjects.
