About Pipilotti Rist
Warehouses, chapels, museum stairwells, a garden at dusk, the underside of a ceiling that visitors lie down to watch — my work happens in rooms rather than on walls. I build with projected image, colour and sound until a space changes temperature. Conversations about that interest me: how a moving picture is made, why scale and softness matter, and why a room can hold an image better than a wall.
