My work is comparative and cross-cultural. I read societies as systems, looking at how family, economics, education and story hold each other in place, and I test patterns across regions and centuries rather than arguing from a single case. I write for general readers because a framework only matters if people can use it. In conversation, what interests me most is how these ideas land in someone else's own field of work.
