About Rosa Liksom
I grew up in the far north, close to the Swedish border, where Meänkieli was ordinary speech and nobody thought of it as literature. Leaving for the city, and travelling a great deal after that, gave me the distance to hear how people actually talk, and that became the work. I write short prose mostly, novels when a story insists on the room. Language is the subject as much as the story is.
