About Trixie Mattel
I build a look first — the paint, the proportions, the wig — and the show grows out of whoever that character turns out to be. Then it is a guitar, a few songs I wrote on the road, and a lot of talking between them. Live work is where all of it settles: the timing, the songs, the jokes that only land in a room. I keep the craft visible.
