Spent the week with a 1970s medium format body a friend lent me. The finder is dim and the meter is unreliable, and both turned out to be useful. It slows the whole thing down. I have gone back to black and white film for personal work, and the contact sheets are honest in a way files are not.

Unreliable meters make better photographers. Not a popular position, but I stand by it.
Which body? I have a shelf of them going unused and would happily hand one over.
Gentle pushback: the honesty is in the edit, not in the medium.
Contact sheets are the only part of the process I actually miss.
