About Kingsley Holgate
Africa has had me since I was a boy on the Zululand coast, and I have spent forty years circumnavigating it, following the Tropic of Capricorn and tracing rivers to their mouths in old Land Rovers. The expeditions carry mosquito nets, reading glasses and water filters as much as cameras: geographic journeys with a humanitarian purpose. My family travels with me. I tell these stories over a fire, which is how they were always meant to be told.
