Two weeks photographing inside a research laboratory near Karlsruhe. The permission process took longer than the pictures. I use the large format camera because the waiting is part of it: the room settles and people stop performing. Three sheets a day at most. I will not know what I have until the negatives come back.

The permission process being longer than the shoot is the whole job now, in every institution.
Three sheets a day sounds slow until you see what everyone else brings back.
Still on the 8x10, or did you drop to 5x7 for access reasons?
People stop performing at around minute forty in my experience, never sooner.
