About Thomas Struth
Time with me is slow and deliberate, which is how the pictures get made. For decades I have photographed museums and the people looking inside them, streets emptied of traffic, families arranged before a camera, and the interiors of laboratories and factories. I work with a large-format camera, long preparation and a great deal of waiting. On a session or a location day, expect to spend most of it observing before anything is exposed.
