About this experience
The series runs over four consecutive Tuesday evenings in a daylight studio on an industrial block in Greenpoint. Each night opens with an hour of demonstration at a single lighting setup, built from empty stands so the reasoning behind every choice stays visible. Participants then shoot in pairs for ninety minutes, rotating as subject and photographer, while two programme staff circulate to correct posture, distance and direction. The third evening moves to the edit, with files from the previous weeks graded side by side on a calibrated screen. The final evening is a working session with a booked model and a written brief, shot to a deadline and reviewed as a group before anyone leaves. Cameras stay with participants throughout, and the studio is held open for an hour after each session.
