About this experience
Participants gather on the first morning at a working studio near the river, each bringing a body of work in print or on a drive for a round of open reviews. The host takes them one at a time, staying with what the pictures are doing rather than with technique. A shooting brief follows, carried out across the city that afternoon and into the evening. The second day opens with contact sheets on the table and moves into sequencing, pairing, cutting and ordering, until each participant has a short edit that stands up. The closing session covers working on a single subject over years and the practical business of releasing that work to editors. Existing documentary work is expected; this is not a workshop for beginners.
